The Bellcourt Civic Association was founded in 2021 to represent the interests of our historic community. We are a small area and a small organization! We belong to the Queens Civic Congress, which is an association of many of our fellow civics.
3 Reasons to Expand
1. East Bayside and nearby areas need a civic
Several areas around the Bellcourt boundaries lack civic associations to represent them.
2. There is interest in reviving an East Bayside Civic
Our board was approached by someone interested in resurrecting the old East Bayside Homeowners' Association, which has been defunct for many years.
3. Bellcourt's small area gives us a very limited number of residents to solicit for membership
That also means a very limited pool of volunteers to help with the work of a civic. Your current board is overtaxed and we need help!
Having recent experience with the paperwork involved in incorporating an association, securing nonprofit status, and setting up a bank account for it, we have entered into discussions with our East Bayside neighbors to join forces and become the Bellcourt-East Bayside Civic Association. The benefits are clear:
